A full time position is open for an Assistant Professor

The Department of Microbiology at the University of Minnesota Medical School invites applications for a faculty position to be filled at the tenure-track Assistant Professor level. We are searching for outstanding scientists in an area broadly applicable to bacterial pathogenesis. Scientific excellence is the main criterion for selection. The successful applicant will be expected to establish a productive, independent research program, and will also need qualifications and desire to contribute to departmental efforts in teaching medical microbiology. The Department and affiliated units at the University have broad research strengths in microbiology and immunology, including immunity and host defense, microbial pathogenesis, virology, microbial physiology, genetics, genomics, environmental microbiology, and biotechnology.
